Hybrid IT solutions provider ViaWest has been recognized as one of Utah’s best companies to work for. ViaWest, a Shaw Communications Inc. company, has its head office in Greenwood Village, Colorado, but has a major presence in Salt Lake City, Utah, employing 60 staff in the city. The company has a wide range of products and services including colocation, managed hosting, and disaster recovery solutions alongside cloud and hybrid cloud offerings. It was recognized by ‘Utah Business’ magazine for its “inspiring corporate culture and commitment to employees”.
Those included in the 2016 ‘Utah’s Best Companies to Work For’ awards represent “an elite group of companies” whose employees are “happy, engaged and pleased with their company’s benefits and culture” and were recognized at a ceremony on December 8, 2016. Managed by Utah Business magazine, shortlisted companies are subject to “rigorous examination” of elements like corporate culture, staff benefits, employee pride and growth opportunities. December’s Utah Business magazine will feature the finalists.
ViaWest supports local community projects and sponsors ‘United Way of Salt Lake’ – an organization with 2.6 million volunteers and 9.6 million donors worldwide which raises more than $5 billion annually.
